Next week are the final exams of my first Indonesian semester. In this article I will write about the university I study during 2010.
The Universitas Indonesia has twelve different faculties. The main campus is in the north of Depok and a second campus is located in the centre of Jakarta. This second one is smaller. This year I study at the Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya (FIB), also known as the faculty of humanities. The institute, part of the faculty, is called Lembaga Bahasa Internasional (LBI). In English: the International Languages Intitute. This one year minor is called Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (BIPA) a.k.a. Indonesian for foreigners. The training consists of three parts, in the levels of elementary, intermediate and advanced. * edit * Last saturday I received my first university certificate and succesfully finished my first semester.
